3 Quick Tips To Save Money on Car Insurance

Keep a clean driving record.  Even one ticket or one car accident can make you no longer eligible for the "Good Driver" discount.  Depending on the insurance company, this can be a hefty discount, 10, 15, 20, even 25% in some cases.  And that adds up!

When purchasing a vehicle, consider the car's safety features and safety ratings.  If you are not sure, go to www.iihs.org the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for more information.  Click "Vehicle Ratings."

Choose a deductible that, while being within your budget, accurately reflects your threshold for turning in a claim.  Why carry a $200 deductible if you would never turn in a claim for anything under $1,000?  You pay more to carry a low deductible.  But a higher deductible gives you a credit.  So find the deductible that's right for you.
